NASA Frontier Development Lab

Joined the collaboration between NASA Ames, the SETI Institute, and commercial AI partners like Google Cloud to minimize the deleterious effects of climate change. Our four-person team's approach to this problem is to speed up flood predictions by building a machine learning surrogate model for an established inundation height model like NEMO (Nucleus for European Modelling of the Ocean).

At Amazon, I worked on teaching machines how to understand natural language. Specifically, Isummarized proprietary text and developed a novel algorithm that removed pathologies and improved fluency.

COVID-19 Datathon

In Correlation One's Boston Regional Datathon we harnessed a state-of-the-art epidemiological model to prescribe an optimal vaccination allocation strategy across different age groups and states across the US publicly using available COVID-19 data. Won 2nd place out of 25 teams.
